winter’s rolling in

The first snowfall reminds me how much I miss the days when I was a remote camp cook and also how glad I am to no longer do such a crazy job. Working in the wilderness can come with some very bad weather!

Me, around 30 years old in one of my luxurious tent camp kitchens made from plywood inside a canvas tent. On the stove is a pan of cinnamon buns on the rise.

The northwest corner of British Columbia is spectacularly beautiful. This was the view from the tent camp where I was working.
